2024/25 55+ Ice times are Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 1:45 to 3:15. This is changed from 2023/24.
There are Three groups; 55+, 65+ and 70+ that play pick up hockey.
We pick teams once everyone shows up and then begin play. There are no referees. Everyone is expected to play "gentlemen's hockey".
Mid way through the ice time the goalies switch ends. Regular Season ice times are for 90 Minutes (75 minutes for the 70+)
Registration is made up to 10 days in advance via the Courtenay Rec Center On-Line Portal. See link Below:
If registered and you are unable to attend, please call in to cancel your ice time. This will allow skaters on the WAITLIST to pick up the available ice time. This can be done by calling the office. Outside business hours a player can cancel online using the following steps:
Go to your Online Profile/Membership, Click on Your Profile, Select SCHEDULES and select LIST VIEW
This will display your current registrations. You will see ACTIONS in the window beside each entry. Selecting ACTIONS should show PRINT, WITHDRAW and ADD TO CALENDAR.
Select WITHDRAW and follow the responses. You should get and email confirmation to show that you have withdrawn.
Fees are applied either through a Rec Pass or per game, except for goalies (free)
